Am I horrible about being consistent with blogging? Yes. Will I get better? We can hope. But I could never give up blogging. I just love sharing the stories of weddings, seniors, families and so many more, especially the story I am about to share.
I met Jamie and Logan last fall to discuss their wedding. I met with them as well as both of their parents and from the moment they sat down I knew I wanted to shoot their wedding. Logan and Jamie are two very sweet, caring and silly individuals who compliment each other in every way. Jamie was over the moon about her up coming wedding and Logan was sitting next to her beaming. Their plan for their wedding was beautifully thought out, but I was not prepared for just how beautiful.
When I showed up at Jamie's house on her and Logan's wedding day, it was chaos as normal. But the air was buzzing with excitement and the girls and guys were all talking about the day ahead, while eating tacos. The flower girls ran around in their dresses saying they were getting married, and the ring bearer was beaming with excitement about being in charge of the rings. Everyone was all eyes on Jamie as she slipped into her gorgeous wedding dress and continued to stay on her as she was laced in. She was radiating, the biggest smile covering her face. She was getting married to the boy she met in high school. She could not of been happier.
Logan matched Jamie's happiness when I finally saw him.He was anxiously readjusting his suit, but he was all smiles, anxiously waiting to see his bride walk down the aisle. He told me he couldn't be any more excited, and was ready to finally call Jamie his wife. Logan has loved Jamie since high school and was ready to make her officially his forever.
Their ceremony and reception took place at the Orchid in New Haven, on an absolute beautiful day at the end of September. The details were beautiful, especially their bride and groom Mickey Mouse ears sitting on the head table, and the table dedicated to those who were no longer with us. They were married under a flower arch, and twinkly lights in the sweetest intimate ceremony. Tears welling up in the eyes of friends and family. Everyone just buzzing with excitement and love for this awesome couple!
But the party didn't stop there. The Orchid made a gorgeous background for photos, complimented by the purple of the girls dresses and guys suits. Seriously these wedding photos are gorgeous! The bridal party was a dream to work with. Not only were they 1000% supportive of Jamie and Logan, they also did everything I asked of them for photos, making recreating the photos Jamie wanted quite easy. I really wish I could just take this bridal party to every wedding, they were all so dang sweet! Thanks to Jamie's referral I will get the pleasure to work with a few of them again next October when I shoot one of the bridesmaid's weddings. But seriously this bridal party as bridal party goals! This was just such a close knit group of friends, and I love when my brides and grooms are surrounded by people who love and support them entirely.
The reception was filled with amazing food, seriously so yummy, sweet and touching dances, a cake smash, and so much happiness and laughter. I could continue to ramble about this awesome wedding for hours, but I think everyone would rather I get to the photos. So go ahead and enjoy these awesome photos of one incredible day!
