Stout Wedding | St Paul Lutheran Church and The Sheriff's Reserve | Fort Wayne, Indiana
November 11, 2017
Weather has been rather weird this year for my weddings. My first wedding in March was 85 degrees. I had a May wedding where it down poured right until the bride walked down the aisle. I had a September wedding that was 93 degrees, and finished with a November wedding that was 19 degrees and everyone was freezing. This year's weather has been a little crazy and played an interesting role in the photography of these weddings. Ally and Adam didn't care however, that it was only 19 degrees on their wedding day, they wanted outdoor pictures. So that is exactly what we did, outdoor pictures. Sure everyone has shaking, and we cranked out photos faster then I ever have, but it was quite the adventure for all of us.
Ally and Adam chose to get married in November, one of my favorite times of the year. I personally love November weddings because you can guarentee that you will not be sweating, and the weather is usually pretty mild. We start to have gorgeous winter light, and you can start using winter color palettes which are my favorite, especially Ally and Adam's. Ally and Adam got married in the gorgeous St Paul Lutheran Church. Seriously, one of the most gorgeous churches I have ever shot in. Just wait till you see the photos of the inside of this church! They complimented their gorgeous venue with a beautiful color palette of navy, maroon, and blush. Which happens to be my favorite color combination. The guys wore navy suits which is another of my all time favorite. While I love a classic black suit or tux, I think that there is not a single guy who does not look good in a navy suit. Can I petition for more groomsmen in navy suits? Because I would like to. Besides the gorgeous church and perfect color palette, they also had beautiful decorations at their reception, including the cutest cake topper that said Mr and Mrs Stout. They completed the look with beautiful bouquets.
Besides the details of the wedding, Ally and Adam also had an awesome bridal party. This wedding party was down to have fun, and provided so many laughs. The girls kept their game faces during photos because they wanted to be inside but the guys did not. During photos the guys could not stop laughing when I asked them for serious faces, and asked if they could pop, lock and drop it several times. They also took a special liking to my second shooter, Simon, and asked to take photos with him several times. These guys had Simon and I laughing so hard. The girls were equally entertaining once inside the warmth of the church. This bridal party was not only hilarious but entirely supportive of Ally and Adam. They were all 100% supportive and in on this marriage, and doing everything they could to make the day absolutely perfect. I seriously have had a year filled with amazing bridal parties who just surround my brides and grooms with endless amounts of love and support.
But most importantly at the center of the day was Ally and Adam. As I previously stated when I blogged their engagement session, Ally and Adam hold a special place in my heart because I went to high school with Ally. I love being able to photograph the weddings of people I grew up with and went to school with. I could not of dreamed up a better man for Ally. Adam is super sweet and gentle with Ally and he seriously loves her so much. I teared up as I watched him cry when he first say Ally on their wedding day. Ally and Adam literally compliment each other in every way, and in every circumstance. They are literally a perfect match with undeniable chemistry. I just love these two together!
All around this wedding was the perfect ending to a very busy wedding season and I am so thankful to have been a part of Ally and Adam's big day! That being said enjoy their photos!
