Tristan and Laura | Private Property | Fort Wayne, Indiana
June 4, 2018
I know I often say that a couple holds a special place in my heart, but it is always true. I am so blessed to be able to do something that brings all my old friends my way. Yes, this is another one of those stories. I actually met Tristan through my younger sister. Tristan was one of her first friends when she moved schools, and quickly became one of her best. He used to spend countless hours at our house, and even joined us on family holidays. Because let's be honest, this guy is a total goofball, and a joy to be around. He pretty much became a younger brother I always wanted but never had. Seriously though, he is super special to our family. He has been there during hard things, and always there for the good. Until he went off to college, since then I have seen a little less of Tristan. But I totally get that college gets crazy, and I was able to see him a couple times when I was visiting friends near by. But our relationship never changed, he was still special to our family, just more at a distance. About 2 months ago I received a text from Tristan and was rather surprised. I hadn't seen him in nearly a year, or heard from him recently. He wanted to know what my availability was in late May early June. I answered but I had to know why. That's when he told me it was his girlfriends birthday and he wanted to surprise her with a photoshoot. How cute is that? So we picked a date, and started planning the perfect session without her knowledge, which we totally pulled off!
So here is how it went down. We recently moved and due to the fact we do not have grass we have to take our dog for a drive to go play once a day. Well we drive her right down the street to an elementary school. I was over there the other day around 8 and noticed the light was beyond gorgeous, and thats when I knew it would be the perfect spot for this surprise. Tristan took Laura to this school, made an elaborate story about how he had all these memories there and patiently waited for me to arrive. When I showed up he told her to come over to the car with him. Seriously I would of been so sketched out, but Laura obviously wasn't because she walked right over. That was when Tristan goes SURPRISE this is Abbey and she is going to take our photos. I really wish I could of captured her face. She broke into the biggest smile I have ever seen. She was so excited! I should of known with how excited she was that the photos would be totally gorgeous, but I do not think I was prepared for just how gorgeous they turned out. First off, these two together are hilarious. They are so giggly, and so smiley, it is the cutest thing in the world. They are just so natural together, so relaxed. It is like they have been together forever. I am pretty dang confident I will be shooting their wedding some day. Thats how good these two are together, just wait until you see the photos. I literally could of posted a million on Instagram.
