All of my couples whose weddings I shoot have the chance to do an anniversary session with me. All they have to do is fill out a survey and leave a review and they get a free anniversary session. I think they think this session is just a reward for them, but I give them for free for the review because I love seeing my couples a year later, a year into marriage. I love hearing how much has changed. Some of my couples are expecting, some have purchased a house, some have gotten new jobs, or moved out of the state. Every single one has had a whirlwind of a year, and I love hearing about it. For Alex and Colten a few things have changed. The day after their wedding they adopted their adorable puppy, who they brought with them to their session. Colten also finished his army career, and grew out a massive beard. Alex is in the process of applying to go back to school, with Colten deciding to go to school. Big changes have been happening in the Palmer household. But one thing hasn't. Alex and Colten are still madly in love and one of the cutest couples I have ever met. They have the most undeniable chemistry. They still light up when they see each other. Colten still pulls Alex close which causes her to smile from ear to ear. Alex still fits perfectly in Colten's arms. These two are one of my favorite couples. A year later, I still wish I could photograph them all the time. If anyone needs me, I will be coming up with another reason to photograph them.
