Katie and Richard | Monument Circle | Indianapolis, IN
April 3, 2019
I know I say every engagement session is the sweetest, but literally I think every one is. I get to spend an hour or so with a couple who is in love and document their love, how can I say that is not sweet? But this engagement session had a little extra sweetness because it took me to Indianapolis and I was able to get cheesecake after. You already know that if you travel anywhere near a Cheesecake Factory you have to stop and get some Cheesecake.
Katie and Richard are two of the easiest people to like I have ever met. Katie and I bounded over the fact we both have education degrees, and Richard explained all that comes with working for the city of Indianapolis, which was absolutely fascinating. They both have interesting jobs, but they are all around so authentic, and you just instantly adore them. Katie and Richard both spent our session always smiling ear to ear, even though we were right in the middle of a protest. It was a first for an engagement session, but also quite entertaining to hear someone yelling about the government while you are posing your couple. But Katie and Richard were totally champs at ignoring it and enjoying each other fully. They also have the cutest proposal story, which will explain the Mickey Mouse shirts. They were down in Disney World when Richard proposed. Seriously, that is the dream, and a proposal anyone would love. They seriously were such a dream to photograph, and I can not wait until their wedding in November!
