Corinna and Alicia | Downtown Detroit | Detroit, Michigan

July 25, 2019

If you know anything about me, then you know I am ABSOLUTELY obsessed with Detroit. Literally every time I have the pleasure of shooting there I get so dang excited! So as you can imagine as I was headed to Detroit with my second shooter, Evan, I was talking non-stop about how excited I was and how much I love Detroit. Pointing out all the abandoned buildings as we drove and sprouting out facts about Detroit in general. I was even more excited when we decided to move locations to The Belt. The Belt is basically an alley way in Detroit that there is a few restaurants and stores in, but it is floor to ceiling graffiti, even the parking garage is covered in graffiti and it is soooooo amazing. Literally was obsessed with the walls in The Belt and could of literally photographed there all day. Some of these pictures were even taken in the parking garage, that is how amazing the walls were. We also shot right in downtown Detroit which was equally as gorgeous and such a good space. Corinne and Alicia could not have chosen better spots for their engagement session.

Besides the perfect locations which I can not, and will not, stop talking about, literally Evan and I are planning a day trip to shoot some personal photos in Detroit that is how obsessed I was with this spot, there was a seriously amazing couple in the middle of it all. The second I met Corinne and Alicia I absolutely adored them. They are the kind of couple I just want to be best friends with. They are so easy to talk to, and just so much joy to be around. Seriously I spent most of the session behind the camera saying "ooooo this is so good" and talking about how obsessed I was with the photos I was taking. These two are the kind of people I could photograph all day and never get tired of. They are 100% my type of people, which I loved. Alicia is a mental health counselor which is actually the job I would want to do if I wasn't a photographer, that is just how much my type of people these two were. I should also mention the fact that they were literally perfectly dressed for their locations. The solid colors let the graffiti walls shine, and then popped with the city as the background. Catch them all over my engagement wardrobe guide. But seriously. Literally could ramble for hours about how much I adored these two and their engagement session, but I am going to let everyone get to the photos because they are bomb.com!
